Trail Drive Milk Gravy.

3 tablespoons bacon fat OR other meat drippings
3 tablespoons flour
1- 12 ounce can evaporated milk
1/2 cup water
Salt and freshly ground pepper

In a large skillet, heat the drippings over medium heat.
Stir in flour and cook about 1 minute until flour begins to brown.
Gradually add the milk and water, stirring until thickened.
Season with salt and pepper.
Serve over biscuits, bread, steaks or chicken.
Makes 1-1/2 cups gravy,
